This Christmas, help bring joy, stop discrimination and reduce our carbon footprint using public transport.
It is easy to help others, and with this project, we aim to do it much easier by pressing one button. A button that anyone can use. The bus stop button.
A small action could make a difference, and with this initiative, we aim to make people smile, connect them, and make them feel important.
A simple but effective dispositive will activate some messages when anyone presses the bus stop button. These messages will tell people important ideas when discrimination is still standing and should stop.
The first thought of this project was to create an expandable idea to implement in our days, using Christmas and discrimination as the basis.
This project has been done using Adafruit's circuit playground express hardware. We wanted to do it using different buttons with a solderless board, but it did not work, and we kept it simple, hoping we could improve it in the near future.
We used Processing and Arduino to connect everything and simulate how it should look in real life for the software.
Most programming has been created from scratch using references from different sources, such as practical sessions, internet projects and own ideas.
